Reflection SEP week 1

School Experience program in this semester I get observation and teaching practice at SMAN 12 Jakarta. In the first week at school experience program my friends and I just get observation. Why? Because some teachers want drill their students to preparation mid test. So we not have been granted permission to teaching practice. The teachers and staff in this school are welcome with our but the school is minimalist so we not get the room for we discussion and other. We move from room to other room so honestly I am not cozy to discussion with my partner and teacher.

In the first day we follow the ceremony, so at 06.30 we must stay in school. After that my partner and I enter twelve social three to observation. The students in twelve social three is quite, they just attention the teacher explain and answer the question in the book. I think this class is teacher center class, why? Because no discussion no group etc. teacher explains in front of the class and students pay attention. In first day my partner and I just observation one class and after that we get some paper which hold the days exam the tenth class. We correction the exam, and from the correcting I get some new experience like be a teacher especially mathematics teacher is not easy, we must correction detail step by step not just the result but the process why the result like that, be objective and careful.

Second and third days I just observation this school without enter the classroom, why? Because my partner and I think observation in the classroom every day is not effective to us, we just sit and attention the teacher and sometime look the students, we worry with there we in the class some students not comfortable. So in second and third day we just observation out the class and in second day we correction the remedial test the students in twelve social class. From the correcting individually I learn the knowledge the students have, because from the answer we can analyze.

Fourth day we enter the class again and we observe twelve social one, in this class is so quite just some students which active and some else just look, write etc. Before I enter this class I enter twelve social three classes, we not observe in this class I just documented my friends from English department to teaching practice, but although only documented we learn about character the students and I know little thing about that and maybe that can useful for my partner and I at teaching practice.

Fifth day my partner and I consult about lesson plan which can we use in teaching practice after mid test.  From five days School Experience Program, we learn a lot from the staff students, teachers and others. And I know that teaching not just u teach today but your preparation and your knowledge even the appearance.  To be a teacher is not easy I must prepared physically, mentally, knowledge, and be a objective teacher.

I hope in second week I will be better and I will teach practice exactly what I expected, be nice for second week.
